  • The United States President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)
    The Office of Global Health Affairs coordinates the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' activities under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.
  • Global Health Security Initiative (GHSI)
    The GHSI was formed in October 2001 and provides a global forum for high-level discussion around, and the coordination of, public health emergency preparedness and response policies.
  • Afghanistan Health Initiative (AHI)
    The Afghanistan Health Initiative (AHI) focuses on the Rabia Balkhi Hospital to implement processes and systems designed to strengthen hospital management and leadership, to develop culturally appropriate training programs for physicians, midwives and other health providers in the hospital and to improve health outcomes for mothers and newborns.
