U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue

July 28, 2009 - HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius participated in the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED) along with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo, Vice Minister of Health Yin Li and other U.S. and Chinese government leaders.  Secretary Sebelius joined U.S. and Chinese leaders in a discussion on global issues.

 

HHS Representatives during other sessions of the two day conference included Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Howard Koh, CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden and Counselor to the Secretary John Monahan.  HHS representatives discussed ways to deepen U.S.-China cooperation on health and biomedical research, as well as issues related to health care reform in both the United States and China.
